Our Mom Juli's Extraordinary Art Is Now Showcased Online

November 16, 2017 by Jennifer Choi

We are happy to announce that you can now view our mom Juli Chen Choi's extraordinary art online here.

We'd like to thank everyone who came to our mom's posthumous art gallery exhibition in July 2017 after we lost her to cancer in June. The event was such a beautiful celebration of her life. Over 100 beloved friends and family came to admire the art that Juli created in her three decades as an artist. She would've been touched to know that people got to see her art. Even strangers walked into the gallery and were moved by her life story and talent. When a stranger cries at a gallery, that is a pretty good sign that it had an impact on them.

Now we'd like to share her special paintings, etchings, and sketchings with a public audience online on the Art page here. Thanks to our dear friend at Dirk Wyse Photography , we have some wonderful photos from the gallery to display digitally.  In this way, our mom's legacy can live on.

We hope that you enjoy viewing her beautiful works, and feel free to let us know any thoughts in the comments. Please join us in celebrating the magic of art, in our mom's honor.

With love,

Jennifer & Standish Choi

Extraordinary Human: A Posthumous Art Exhibition

July 21, 2017 by Jennifer Choi

Juli was an amazing and prolific artist. In nearly three decades, she created hundreds of works of art. As an artist, she painted, sketched, etched, and sculpted. However, her masterpieces were never shown to the public. These works of art lived in our family home, where they were hung in the hallway or stashed away on shelves, waiting to be seen.

Now the moment has come, where after Juli’s passing, her art comes to life for all to see.

This is a posthumous art exhibition in loving memory of our mom, whom we lost to cancer on June 18, 2017. Though we miss her dearly, we are proud to share with you her art.

We want the world to see what she saw: the beauty of being human, expressed through art.

With love, Jennifer & Standish Choi
